Notice of Kitsap County Planning Commission Special Meeting and Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kitsap County Planning Commission will hold a Special Meeting and Public Hearing, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 5:30 P.M.This public hearing will be conducted in a hybrid format. Planning Commissioners and staff may participate in the meeting in person, or remotely on the following: PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER: The public hearing will consider testimony on the Year of the Rural project. The Department of Community Development proposes to update the Rural and Resource Lands Chapter of the 2024 Comprehensive Plan, adopt code amendments related to child care, commercial equestrian facilities, and agriculture, and review three reclassification requests with accompanying analysis and recommendations (northeast of SW Lake Flora Rd and JM Dickinson Rd SW; east of Twelve Trees Employment Center; northwest of SE Mullenix Rd and SR-16).
