COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CDBG) &
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (HOME)
The City of Cocoa expects to receive an estimated $105,087.00 in CDBG funds and $62,883.41 in HOME Program funds for Fiscal Year 2026 - 2027. The overall purpose of the CDBG program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of low/moderate income. Eligible activities include public services, public facilities and improvements, housing, code enforcement, clearance and demolition, economic development, acquisition and disposition. At least 70% of all CDBG funds must be expended on program activities benefiting low/moderate income persons. HOME Program funds can only be used for housing activities benefiting low/moderate income persons.
Proposal packets for eligible projects and activities will be available for non-profit or govt. agencies anytime during regular business hours on January 2, 2026. All applications and proposal packets can be picked up at the City of Cocoa, Community Services office located at 65 Stone Street, Cocoa, Florida 32922.
