NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that upon the Application of Ariana and Ali Dadyan (collectively, the "Applicant"), the Township of Voorhees Zoning Board (the "Zoning Board") conducted a public hearing on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at which time it considered and granted the Applicant's request for a Zoning Interpretation and, on December 11, 2025, considered and adopted Resolution No. 25-25 memorializing the Interpretation, all related to the development and use of a two-story addition to the existing single-family home located at 102 Alpha Avenue, identified as Block 7, Lot 2 on the official tax maps of Voorhees Township, within a Medium Density Residential (MDR) Zoning District (the "Property").
Specifically, the Zoning Board issued a Zoning Interpretation which determined that the proposed home addition, consisting of a garage on the ground level, and a bedroom, living room, office, dressing room, and bathroom on the second level, is a part of the principal residential dwelling unit, which is a permitted used in the MDR Zone under Section 152.012(A) of the Township's Zoning Ordinance.
Moreover, the Zoning Board determined that because the proposed addition is: (i) attached to the residence and therefore considered part of the principal single-family dwelling rather than an accessory building, (ii) involves additional living space which is only accessible internally through the home, (iii) does not have a separate exterior entrance, (iv) does not have a separate kitchen facility, and (v) will not have separately metered utilities, the addition is consistent with the scope of improvements permitted under the Voorhees Township Zoning Ordinance.
