PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Turnersville Equities, LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Washington Township Planning Board ("Board") regarding real property located at 4020 Black Horse Pike (N.J.S.H. Route 42) and designated as block 112.01, lot 12.05 on the municipal tax map. The Planning Board granted both preliminary and final major site plan and subdivision approval on November 7, 2024 and December 17, 2024, respectively, that created three new tax lots: (i) a proposed Kia auto dealership on lot 12.04, (ii) a proposed America's Tire building on lot 12, and (iii) a proposed retail building on lot 12.05. The Applicant seeks amended preliminary and final major site plan approval to develop lot 12.05 as a Hertz facility, instead of the previously approved retail building.
The Applicant seeks approval of the following variances under the municipal land use ordinance:
1. Section 285-196.A states a maximum of five off-street parking spaces are permitted. The Applicant proposes fifty off-street parking spaces.
The Applicant also requests any additional variances, submission waivers, additional exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on July 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in-person in the Washington Township Municipal Building, Main Council Room, 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, New Jersey 08080, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's offices located at 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, New Jersey 08080 and is available for public inspection during regular business days and hours. The application may be adjourned to another date without further notice to you and you are advised to contact the Board office in order to confirm the date and time of the hearing.
