PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that VSV Pet Hotels, Inc. ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Washington Township Zoning Board of Adjustment ("Board") regarding real property in the Plaza 42 Shopping Center, 5851 Route 42, Suite 23 and designated as block 195, lot 19 on the municipal tax map. The Property is located in the SC-shopping center zoning district. The Board previously granted a use variance, site plan waiver and bulk variances to permit the construction and operation of a K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel, as well as certain site improvements. The Applicant now seeks a sign variance to permit four façade signs, where only one is permitted.
The Applicant seeks approval of the following variances from the municipal ordinance:
1. Section 285-230(A)(2) permits one façade sign per tenant. The Applicant proposes four total façade signs consisting of three signs on the front of the building facing the parking lot and one on the side of the building facing the Black Horse Pike.
2. Section 285-230(A) permits a maximum sign height of three feet. The Applicant requires a variance for maximum sign height and sign area.
The Applicant also requests any additional variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board on July 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in-person in the Washington Township Municipal Building, Main Council Room, 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, New Jersey 08080, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's offices located at 523 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, New Jersey 08080 and is available for public inspection during regular business days and hours. The application may be adjourned to another date without further notice to you and you are advised to contact the Board office in order to confirm the date and time of the hearing.
