TOWN OF HOPEWELL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING   PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a public hearing will be held by the Town of Hopewell on the 18th day of February 2026 at 7:00 p.m., at the Hopewell Town Hall, 2716 County Road 47, Town of Hopewell, New York, regarding the adoption of a Local Law of the Town of Hopewell for the year 2026, entitled “A Local Law Amending Local Law 1 of 1997, Local Law 1 of 2010 and Local Law 1 of 2025 Regarding Wartime Veterans, Combat Veterans and Disabled Veterans’ Exemptions”. This local law would increase the current maximum exemption allowable in paragraphs (a), (b), and (c) of subdivision 2 of section 458-a of the NYS Real Property Tax Law to $45,000, $75,000 and $150,000. Any person shall be entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such public hearing.
