NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE DRAFT 2027- 2030
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
The Erie Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) announces a public review and comment period from May 6th through June 5th, 2026, for the Draft 2027-2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP is a four-year program that lists all regionally significant and federally-funded transportation projects to be undertaken in Erie County over the next four years. It is developed cooperatively between the Erie MPO, PennDOT, and the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA).
Draft documents are available on the Erie MPO webpage of the Erie County website: www.eriecountypa.gov. Printed copies are available at the Erie County Planning and Community Development Office, EMTA office and Erie County’s Blasco Library. Printed and/or translated documents can be requested by writing to the address below. Comments must be submitted in writing prior to 4:00pm on June 5th, 2026. Please send comments to:

Two public meetings will be held on June 1st, 2026. The first meeting will be held from 1:00pm- 3:00pm. Join in-person at the Blasco Library’s Admiral Room at 160 E Front St, Erie, PA 16507, an

The Erie MPO will vote on the adoption of the TIP on June 17th, 2026, at the 10:00am MPO Coordinating Committee meeting, held at the Summit Township Municipal Building.
