Cumberland County Board of Commissioners Notice of a Legislative Hearing to Consider Implementing a Moratorium on the Issuance of Development Permits for Data Centers, Data Processing Facilities, Cryptocurrency Mining Operations, and Similar Operations Within the Zoning Jurisdiction of Cumberland County Take notice that the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners shall conduct a legislative hearing at its regular meeting May 18, 2026, at 6:45 p.m. in Room 118 of the Cumberland County Courthouse, 117 Dick Street, Fayetteville, to consider the implementation of a moratorium of more than sixty days on the issuance of development approvals or permits required by any Cumberland County ordinance governing the development of land within the zoning jurisdiction of Cumberland County. Any person interested in commenting on the implementation of this moratorium shall register to speak with the Clerk to the Board and will be heard. This notice is given pursuant to N.C.G.S. 160D-601.
