REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS HVAC WORK AT THE STEPHENSON COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT   The Stephenson County Highway Department will be accepting proposals until 10:00 AM on February 27, 2026, for the furnishing and installation of 4 furnace/air conditioning unit(s) in the office building located at 295 W. Lamm Rd. in Freeport, IL. The existing units are currently on top of the building, and anyone looking to submit a bid can call and set up an appointment to look at the existing unit. Proposals submitted must include a general description of the work being proposed, the manufacturer make and model of equipment being proposed, warranty information, operational efficiencies, timeline for the project and a lump sum cost for the entire project. All costs will include furnishing, installation and making operational equipment, including initial startup. The Stephenson County Highway Department will evaluate the proposals and choose the proposal that provides the most overall economical solution looking at not only the initial cost, but operational and maintenance costs in the future.
