City of Freeport, Illinois - Request for Quotes (RFQ) 2026 ELECTRONIC RECYCLING EVENT The City of Freeport is seeking qualified vendors to submit pricing proposals for providing turnkey electronic recycling services for the City's 2026 Electronic Recycling Event. This event will provide Freeport residents with a safe, environmentally responsible method to dispose of unwanted electronic equipment in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including the Illinois Environmental Protection Act and the Illinois Electronics Products Recycling and Reuse Act. The selected contractor will provide full-service electronic recycling operations for a resident-only public event, anticipated for June 6, 2026, including: - Staffing and traffic coordination - Equipment and hauling (trailers, containers, etc.) - Collection, transportation, and proper recycling/disposal - Data security and destruction services - Compliance with all Illinois EPA requirements Event Location: Stephenson County Fairgrounds, Freeport, Illinois Event Hours: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM Qualified vendors must demonstrate: - Experience with municipal electronic recycling events - Ability to manage high-volume, resident-only events - Proper licensing and Illinois EPA compliance - Proof of insurance meeting City requirements - References for similar projects Proposals must include: - Cover letter - Detailed pricing structure - Company qualifications and certifications - Proof of insurance - Municipal references RFQ Number: COF 2026 ERE No. 100 Issue Date: April 13, 2026 Submission Deadline: Monday, April 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM Submission Location: City of Freeport – Clerk's Office (2nd Floor) Freeport City Hall Late submissions will not be accepted.
