The Warthman's are celebrating 50 years of marital bliss this month. This match was not made in Heaven; it was by fate after their initial meeting in Hanau, Germany. Randy was active in the United States Army overseas and met Leslie, an American-born girl transported abroad by her German-born mother. Leslie returned to the US and moved in with Randy's parents who had moved from Logan, Ohio to Reynoldsburg. Under the arrangement of a student exchange program, Leslie finished her American high-school education and true love evolved. Randy proposed and married Leslie in 1976; after graduating from The Ohio State University, nine years later, the couple had their first child Taran; three years later they were joined by a daughter Alaxandra. Today the Warthman's are proud grandparents of four grandchildren, Bella, Mimi, Rico and Romeo, all of whom live in Delaware County. Neither Randy nor Leslie are retired; Randy works in engineering with the same company he’s been employed at for 30+ years. Leslie is a freelance specialist with an active real estate license, established contracts with the Delaware County Sherrif Appraisal Team, as well as an exercise trainer teaching multiple water aerobics classes locally. In their free time, the couple enjoy attending sporting and artistic performances featuring their grandkids in Olentangy and Westerville school activities. Congratulations will be shared and celebrated with family and friends, as soulmates Randy & Leslie complete fifty decades together
