ORDINANCE NO. 2026 - 03 CITY OF OCONTO OCONTO COUNTY, WISCONSIN AN ORDINANCE REGARDING REVISIONS TO THE RECYCLING ORDINANCE IN THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR THE CITY OF OCONTO THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCONTO, OCONTO COUNTY, WISCONSIN, DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: REVISION. Chapter 4 of the City of Oconto Municipal Code of Ordinances is hereby revised in the following sections: CHAPTER 4 - RECYCLING DISPOSAL AND COLLECTION Sec. 8-4-1 Purpose. Sec. 8-4-2 Statutory Authority. Sec. 8-4-3 Abrogation and Greater Restrictions. Sec. 8-4-4 Interpretation. Sec. 8-4-5 Severability. Sec. 8-4-6 Applicability. Sec. 8-4-7 Administration. Sec. 8-4-8 Effective Date. Sec. 8-4-9 Definitions. Sec. 8-4-10 Separation of Recyclable Materials. Sec. 8-4-11 Separation Requirements Exempted. Sec. 8-4-12 Care of Separated Recyclable Materials. Sec. 8-4-13 Management of Lead Acid Batteries, Major Appliances, Waste Oil and Yard Waste. Sec. 8-4-14 Preparation and Collection of Recyclable Materials. Sec. 8-4-15 Responsibilities of Owners or Designated Agents of Multiple-Family Dwellings. Sec. 8-4-16 Responsibilities of Owners or Designated Agents of Non-Residential Facilities and Properties. Sec. 8-4-17 Prohibitions on Disposal of Recyclable Materials Separated for Recycling. Sec. 8-4-18 Enforcement. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall be adopted under suspension of local rules, and shall take effect April 1, 2026, upon passage and publication as provided by law.
