CITY OF HAGERSTOWN, MD
APPROVAL OF ORDINANCES
Notice is hereby given by the City of Hagerstown that four (4) Ordinances were passed and approved on May 19, 2026 and two (2) ordinances were passed and approved on May 26, 2026. The Ordinances are as follows:
Ordinance No. O-26-02 – Amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map for two parcels or portion of parcels located on the east side of Emmert Road, the west side of Trolley Drive, and on both sides of Corboy Drive to N-MU (Neighborhood – Mixed Use) (Ordinance effective June 25, 2026)
Ordinance No. O-26-03 – Amending the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map for property located on the east side of Leitersburg Pike and the north side of Eastern Boulevard to CG (Commercial General) (Ordinance effective June 25, 2026)
Ordinance No. O-26-04 – Establish the Tax Rates for Fiscal Year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 (Ordinance effective June 18, 2026)
Ordinance No. O-26-05 – Establish the Budget for Fiscal Year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 (Ordinance effective June 18, 2026)
Ordinance No. O-26-06 – Amending the City Code, Chapter 238, Water, to establish adequate rates and charges for water treatment and distribution (Ordinance effective June 18, 2026)
Ordinance No. O-26-07 – Amending the City Code, Chapter 240, Water Pollution Control, to establish adequate rates and charges for sewage collection and treatment (Ordinance effective June 18, 2026)
Each of the aforementioned Ordinances will become effective on the dates noted unless petitioned to referendum in accordance with the provisions of Section 209 of the Charter. The Ordinance may be inspected in the City Clerk's office between 8 am – 4 pm, Monday-Friday (excluding holidays), City Hall, 1 E. Franklin Street, Hagerstown, Maryland; (301) 739-8577, ext. 113.
