LEGAL NOTICE
STATE OF LOUISIANA, DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION AND ENERGY, BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA.
In accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and with particular reference to the provisions of Title 30 of Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, a public hearing will be held in the Hearing Room, 1st Floor, LaSalle Building, 617 North 3rd Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at 9:00 a.m. on TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2026, upon the application of CANTIUM, LLC.
At such hearing the Department of Conservation and Energy will consider evidence relative to the issuance of Orders pertaining to the following matters relating to the 3,700' Sand, Reservoir A and 4,200' Sand, Reservoir A, in the Bay Marchand Block 2 Field, Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.
1. To approve a cyclic injection project for the operation of the Cantium, LLC-State Lease 1367 II No. 2 Well, by the method of enhanced recovery, without the formation of a unit under R.S.30:5(C).
2. To find that the cyclic injection project for both sands will not drain any area of the subject reservoirs different from that being drained by the project well prior to initiation of the project, and that the projects will not otherwise adversely affect other owners having rights in the same reservoir in which the applicant proposes to conduct cyclic injection.
3. To find that said reservoir boundary for each sand encompasses the maximum area which may be efficiently and economically drained by one well utilizing cyclic injection.
4. To find that the approval of a cyclic injection project shall not cause any change or alteration in the reservoir boundaries, tract participations or other aspects for either sand and reservoir.
5. To confirm Cantium, LLC as the operator of the proposed cyclic injection project for both the 3,700' Sand, Reservoir A and the 4,200' Sand, Reservoir A.
6. To consider such other matters as may be pertinent.
The 3,700' Zone, Reservoir A is hereby defined as being the stratigraphic equivalent of that oil and gas bearing sand encountered between the depths of 4,203' and 4,260' (electrical log measurements) in the Cantium, LLC (formerly Chevron U.S.A., Inc.)-State Lease 1367 II No. 2 Well.
The 4,200' Sand, Reservoir A, is hereby defined as being the stratigraphic equivalent of that oil and gas bearing sand encountered between the depths of 4,536' and 4,587' (electrical log measurements) in the Cantium, LLC (formerly Chevron U.S.A., Inc.)-State Lease 1367 II No. 2 Well.
Plats are available for inspection in the Department of Conservation and Energy in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Louisiana.
