HOUMA LA 70363 BOARD MEETING June 24, 2026 The rescheduled board meeting from June 18, 2026 was called to order today June 24, 2026 by Board Chairman, Randy Lebouef, Jr. @ 6:13 pm. Roll was called, Randy Lebouef, Jr., Gwendolyn Davis, Jay Wayne Celestin, and Justin Champagne. Ralph Singleton, Absent There are two vacancies. Guest was: Marilyn Staidum-Matthews, Secretary Public in Attendance: NONE Minutes from May 22, 2026 was reviewed and amended to include the lights from Dist#1 has 5 sets of 4 lights, will need poles. Still waiting for the ditch guard rails to be built. It was mentioned, that it will properly need a Bond to go toward an election to possibly purchase the property. Applicant for Part-time position, Lee Norris, court date scheduled for June 25th before we can get an update. Motioned made by Justin Champagne and Jay Wayne Celestin seconded "THAT, the minutes of meetings be approved with the necessary updates. (Ayes-4; Nays-0; Vacant-2; Absent-1). Upcoming Bond Election for December 12, 2026 needs to be announced at our next meeting, July 16, 2026. Announcement and Timeline was attached in each board member packet. Need to submit a Request for Audit Report and Certification to the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, will contact auditor for assistance with this document. Pavillion/Gazebo project started today, will rope off park with caution tape. Completion should take approximately two weeks. Financial Report for the month ending May 31, 2026 was reviewed and Motion to accepted by Justin Champagne and 2nd by Jay Wayne Celestin.
