Notice of Completion of Tentative Assessment Roll and Hearing of Complaints    Notice is Hereby Given, that the assessor of the Town of Independence, County of Allegany has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year, that a copy has been left with the Independence Town Clerk at 887 Marietta Ave., Whitesville, NY 14897, where it may be seen and examined by any person interested therein until May 27, 2026, and on such day the Board of Assessment Review of said town will meet at the Independence Town Hall in said town, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to such assessment, on a written application of any person believing themselves aggrieved thereby.  NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that prior to the aforementioned date the said assessor will be in attendance with The Tentative Roll at the Independence Town Hall in said town, on the four following days and times:   Tues, May 5, 2026    8am to noon Tues, May 13, 202    8am to noon Sat, May 17, 2026    noon to 4pm Tues May 20, 2026    8am to noon   To hear and file any complaints in relation to said Assessment Roll.
