Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Borough Council at its meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cornwall Borough Municipal Building, 44 Rexmont Road, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, shall conduct a public hearing on and, subsequently, at the conclusion of the public hearing or at a subsequent public meeting within 60 days after the date of second publication of this advertisement, if appropriate, shall enact an ordinance, the caption of which is as follows: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CORNWALL BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 14, ZONING, TO ADD AND REVISE DEFINITIONS AND INCLUDE REGULATIONS FOR DATA CENTERS, SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY FACILITIES, AND TO MAKE MISCELLANEOUS REVISIONS. The proposed ordinance may be summarized as follows. Section 1 amends Chapter 14, Zoning, of the Code of Ordinances (“Chapter 14”) to add and revise definitions. Sections 2 and 3 amend Chapter 14 to authorize data centers, large wind energy production facilities, and large-scale solar energy systems within the Limited Industrial District and General Industrial District. Sections 4 and 5 amend Chapter 14 to provide revised regulations governing conservation of woodlands. Section 6 amends Chapter 14 to add new Sections 14-2619, Alternative Energy Sources, and 14-2520, Data Centers, to provide regulations for such uses. Sections 7 – 9 reaffirm all other parts and provisions of the Code of Ordinances, provide for severability of any invalid provisions, and set forth the effective date.
