Lancaster South Water Plant Transmission Main Backflow Prevention Project NOTICE TO BIDDERS The City of Lancaster, Ohio will receive competitive sealed bids for the following project: Lancaster South Water Plant Transmission Main Backflow Prevention Project until 11:00 a.m. on July 31th, 2026 at the Bid Express® service at www.bidexpress.com. The sealed bids will be publicly opened at the office of the Service Safety Director, Municipal Building, 104 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 at 11:00 a.m. on July 31th, 2026. The Project is anticipated to include construction of a new valve vault containing a check valve, pipe supports, an access hatch, and all supporting appurtenances. The engineer's estimated cost of construction is $950,000. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of its Work on the Project, as defined in the General Conditions, by April 30th, 2027. Complete sets of bidding documents will be issued to bidders only through the Bid Express® service at www.bidexpress.com. No bidder may withdraw its bid within 60 days after the opening; the City of Lancaster, Ohio reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, and conduct necessary investigations to determine bidder responsibility. The contractor shall pay State of Ohio Prevailing rates as required in Section 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.
