Motion by Griffin, second by Imes to call the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance followed. Imes announced the meeting was properly posted. Board members in attendance were Nicole Cotton, Dean Dobbertin, Rebecca Imes, and Patrick Griffin. District Administrator Russ was also in attendance. There were no reporters and one citizen in person.
Approval of Agenda
Motion by Dobbertin, second by Griffin to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.
New Business
A. Board reorganization with the resignation of President Justen Kent (Action)
Motion by Dobbertin, second by Imes to reorganize the board with Rebecca Imes as President and Patrick Griffin as Vice President. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Dobbertin, second by Cotton to nominate Imes for Negotiations, Facility, and Policy Committees. Motion carried 4-0.
The Board will reassign Committees once the new Board member is selected.
B. Initial Discussion to replace Board President Justen Kent per Board Policy 133 (Discussion and direction of District Administrator per Policy 133)
Dr. Russ will post the Board vacancy where required and the vacancy will run from August 6, 2025 through August 20, 2025.
A tentative meeting date and time was set for the Board to interview interested candidates for the open board seat on August 25th at approximately 5:00 pm.
C. Personnel Actions (Action)
Motion by Cotton, second by Griffin to approve the part time math teaching contract for Joanne Kubisch. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Griffin, second by Cotton to approve the part time FCE teaching contract for Lindsay Kent. Motion passed 3-0. Dobbertin abstained.
Motion by Griffin, second by Cotton to approve the letter of appointment for Erika Flanigan. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Griffin, second by Cotton to approve the resignation of Kaytie Phipps. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Griffin, second by Cotton to approve the resignation of Stephanie Satula. Motion carried 4-0.
Motion by Dobbertin, second by Griffin to adjourn at 6:21 p.m. Motion carried 4-0.
