Mayor McBride called the special Common Council meeting to order at 6:33 PM. 11 Alderpersons present (Excused: Brannin, Lowe, Meindl, Phillips, Morgan). MOTION by Fuerst/Foley to suspend the rules pursuant to Sec. 2.02.090 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code to take action on all resolutions. Motion carried 11-0. MOTION by Foley/Champine to approve Resolution to join proposed national opioid settlement against Purdue Pharma L.P. and Sackler Family. Motion carried 11-0. MOTION by Fuerst/Franzen to approve Resolution amending the 2025 Common Council meeting calendar to add a regular Common Council meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Motion carried 11-0. MOTION by Fuerst/Champine to approve Resolution waiving permit fees for flood-related repairs for 120 days to Wauwatosa residents affected by flooding on August 9 and August 10, 2025. Motion carried 11-0. MOTION by Franzen/Wilke to ratify the proclamation of emergency issued on August 10, 2025 related to the recent flooding, pursuant to Section 323.14(4)(b) of Wisconsin Statutes.
