PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of full concrete pavement, base and curb & gutter replacement, spot repair of storm sewer, sanitary sewer installation and adjustments, curb ramps, sidewalk replacement, traffic control, temporary traffic signals, pavement marking, permanent signing and landscaping on W Layton Avenue (CTH Y) from S 60th Street to S 68th Street. Traffic signal work is also included at the intersection with S 68th Street. Work included in the project corridor shall include the following: concrete pavement replacement, base aggregate, curb & gutter replacement, curb ramps, concrete sidewalk, storm and sanitary sewer structure repairs, utility structure adjustments, traffic signals, street lighting relocations, traffic control, temporary traffic signals, pavement marking, permanent signing, and landscaping. PROJECT SCHEDULE: W Layton Avenue (CTH Y) Stage 1 construction shall be substantially completed prior to noon of July 3, 2026. Stage 2 construction shall not begin prior to July 13, 2026. Project is to be substantially complete no later than Friday, October 30, 2026, and completed and ready for final completion no later than Friday, November 13, 2026. Substantial completion for all stages shall include the completion of all concrete paving, curb and gutter, concrete/asphalt driveways and concrete sidewalk. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. CONTRACT SECURITY: Bidder awarded a contract for the Work shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in full amount of contract price. CONTRACT AWARD: Owner reserves the right to select bid which best suits its needs, whether price is lowest or not. Owner also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities therein.
