LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Trustees of Washington Township will accept sealed bids for Road Improvement 2026, Chip & Seal. Copy of the specifications containing the township roads, dimensions, material type and application requirements are on file with the Board and may be picked up at the Township Road Department located at 222 Vanderbilt Rd, Mansfield Ohio. Bids should list the separate price for each road. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder per R.C. 5575.01(A) and also shall be let upon the basis of unit price bids for each road. The Trustees reserve the right to delete township roads prior to awarding the contract. The bid shall also contain a bid bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit equal to the (10) percent of the bid so that failure of the bidder will be liable to the township except as to R.C.9.31. All bid Guarantees must be in compliance with R.C. 153.54 The Attention of bidders is directed to the special statutory provisions, ORC 4115.05 etc., governing the prevailing rate of wages to be paid to laborers and mechanics employed on the public improvement and also to ORC 153.59 regarding nondiscrimation. All bids must be filed with the Township Fiscal Officer by no later than 6:45 PM February 19th, 2026, at the Township Hall. Each Bid shall be marked “2026, Chip & Seal” on the envelopes. All Bids will be opened on February 19th, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Township Hall on 222 Vanderbilt Rd. Mansfield, Ohio The Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
