2026 BOARD OF REVIEW MEETINGS NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Monroe Board of Review will meet at the City Hall, 120 East First Street, Monroe, Michigan, 48161 during the following days/times to examine and review the 2026 assessment roll for compliance with the City Charter and State of Michigan General Property Tax Act, and to hear and consider assessed value or tentative taxable value appeals from property owners during scheduled appointments:
March 3, Tuesday 9:00AM-6:00PM
March 4, Wednesday 8:30AM-5:30PM
March 5, Thursday 8:30AM-5:30PM
March 6, Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM
March 9, Monday 12NOON-9:00PM
March 10, Tuesday 8:30AM-5:30PM
The Board of Review will meet in a final deliberation/certification session on Thursday, March 19 from 9:00AM to 12NOON, during which session appeals will not be heard.
A property owner wishing to appeal his/her 2026 assessed value or tentative taxable value in person must contact the City Assessor's Office at (734) 384-9170 to schedule an appointment with the Board of Review during one of the above days/times. Alternatively, a property owner may file his/her appeal before the Board of Review by letter without a personal appearance. An appeal by letter must be received no later than Tuesday, March 10th. Property owner agents/representatives must provide written proof of authorization to the Board of Review.
The 2026 tentative ratios and estimated multipliers necessary to compute individual state equalized valuations of real and personal property are as follows:
