PUBLIC NOTICE OF ACTION AND ARREST
On December 18, 2025 a Verified Complaint was filed by the New Bedford Harbor Development Commission, d/b/a, New Bedford Port Authority ("NBPA") in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Civil Action No. 1:25-cv-13881-ADB, against Dickinson Fishing Co., LLC as the owner of the vessel F/V FOUR GIRLS (O.N. 944207) and Northeast Permit No.: 321154, in rem, seeking the condemnation and sale of said vessel for the purpose of applying the proceeds of said sale toward charges to the vessel. In accordance with said Complaint, a warrant of arrest of said vessel was issued, and executed on January 20, 2026 when said vessel was arrested by the United States Marshal and placed in the custody of the substitute custodian Marine Safety Consultants (508-789-1695). The vessel is currently located at Homer's Wharf in New Bedford, MA.
Any person who is entitled to possession or who claims an interest in said vessel pursuant to Supplemental Rule C(6)(a) must file a verified claim within fourteen (14) days after publication of this notice and serve its answer upon the Clerk and NBPA's attorney, Kirby L. Aarsheim, Esq., 27 Congress Street, Suite 508, Salem, Massachusetts, within twenty (21) days after the filing of the claim in order to protect or assert said interest or claim during the proceeding. Alternatively, where no statement of interest is filed, an answer must be filed within 30 days after this publication. Otherwise, default may be entered, and condemnation ordered. Intervenor claims by persons or entities claiming maritime liens or other interests shall be filed within the time fixed by the Court.
