Marshfield – Willow Street over South River Bridge Replacement Project (M-07-005)
This meeting is a part of the MEPA review process, which evaluates the environmental impacts of projects requiring a State agency action, ensuring public participation and mitigation of potential harm.
The Project
§ The Project proposes the replacement of the Willow Street bridge, a structurally deficient, one-way bridge over the South River in Marshfield, MA.§ The proposed bridge will have a similar horizontal alignment with a slightly raised vertical alignment to improve bridge safety and resiliency.§ The proposed bridge will have the capacity to carry two lanes of traffic and will be widened by approximately 6.5± feet to accommodate a new sidewalk.§ The proposed sidewalk will allow residents and visitors to safely access the downtown and riverfront areas without the need for a vehicle.
