INVITATION TO BID The Marshfield Select Board, Marshfield, MA (the Owner), requests sealed bids for Construction of Marshfield Senior Center 2026 Recreational Amenities Project, Contract 2026-COA-A1. Sealed bids for General Contractor Work, endorsed "Construction of Marshfield Senior Center 2026 Recreational Amenities Project, Contract 2026-COA-A1, Marshfield, MA" will be received at the office of the office of the Select Board, Town Hall, 870 Moraine Street, Marshfield, MA 02050, until 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Bids received on time will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately thereafter. The work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of 2" diameter rope fencing; artificial turf putting green and bocce courts; furnishing and installing metal benches with shade structures and concrete foundations, a pickle ball practice backboard, windscreens and concrete planters; relocation of a concrete ping pong table, and appurtenant work. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting/site visit at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at the project site, 230 Webster Street, Marshfield, MA. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend to familiarize themselves with the site. The successful bidder will be required to complete the entire project by June 30, 2026. The Town of Marshfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids should it be in the public interest to do so, or to delete or reduce the scope of any work in order to bring the cost within available funds. Contract 2026-20 is subject to the minimum wage rates issued by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries, in accordance with Chapter 149, Sections 26 through 27D.
