The City of Heath Board of Zoning and Building Appeals will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Municipal Building, 1287 Hebron Road Heath, Ohio to review the following request for Building and Zoning variances:
Case # 1-2026 (895 Hebron Rd./030-088728-00.000)
April Koenig of Kessler Sign Co., agent for Central Trust (Chase Bank), is requesting a variance to Chapter 1187.09(2)(3)(b) of the City of Heath Codified Ordinances for Permanent Signs- Sign Height for Pedestal or Monument Signs; which states that Signs feet if in lieu of a pylon sign shall not exceed 12 feet. Otherwise, pedestal and monument signs shall not exceed five feet. The Contractor is asking for a variance to allow for a 17’ tall sign due to location and unique design of the building and being on a corner lot, this sign is needed to locate the bank safely.
Case # 2-2026 (1520 Blue Jay Rd./030-092556-00.000)
Richard Wilson, property owner, is requesting a variance to Chapter 1157.06 of the City of Heath Codified Ordinances for A-2 zoned yard setbacks. Mr. Wilson is asking for a variance for front setback from 50 to 39 feet, side setback and rear setback from 50 to 6 feet to place a garage on his property.
