PUBLIC NOTICE OF ORDINANCE NO. 26-4   AN ORDINANCE TO LEVY AND ASSESS AN ADDITIONAL MUNICIPAL TAX FOR THE MACKINAW DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY OF THE COUNTY OF TAZEWELL, STATE OF ILLINOIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 2026 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2027.   BE IT ORDAINED, that the Mackinaw District Public Library of the County of Tazewell and State of Illinois shall levy an additional tax of .02% of the value of all tax­ able property with said District, for building and maintenance purpose, subject to the right of electors in said District to petition and require an election concerning the im­ position of such additional tax, pursuant to 75 ILCS 16/35-5 (formerly Chapter 81, Illinois Revised Statutes, 1003-1).   BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that within fifteen (15) days from the date of adoption of the resolution, it shall be published in the Pekin Daily Times a newspaper of general circulation in the Mackinaw District Public Library District.   IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunder set our hands in Mackinaw, Illinois this 7th day of July, 2026.   1. The specific number of voters required to sign a petition requesting that the question of adoption of the resolution be submitted to the electors of the District of 322.   2. The petition must be filed on or before August 2nd, 2026.   3.
