DTE Gas Legal Notice

DTE Gas Legal Notice DTE Energy, 1 Energy Plaza, Detroit, MI announces that it is planning to apply a herbicide to its gas transmission right-of-way in order to maintain the reliability of its power system. The herbicide will be applied with either hand pumped-backpack style sprayers, or UTV spray units. The crews will selectively apply herbicides to woody tree species throughout the right-of-way as needed. Crop areas and gardens will be avoided. Herbicides that will be used are a combination of the following: Garlon 3A (active ingredient: Triclopyr), Milestone (AI: Aminopyralid), Escort XP (AI: Metsulfuron Methyl), Garlon 4 Ultra (AI: Triclopyr), Arsenal (AI: Imazapyr), and Stalker (AI: Isopropylamine Salt of Imazapyr), with water of basa oil as a diluent. The application is scheduled for June 22nd through December 31st in St. Clair County. All treatments will be completed according to label requirements and all state and federal requirements. Please keep people and pets off treated areas until sprays have dried. There are no restrictions on your use of the treated area after the material has dried on the plant.
