NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION
The Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Thursday, July 23, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. concerning the following requests:
REZONING # RZ-26-0001: Request to conditionally rezone 47.2 acres from A-1 (General Agricultural) to M-2 General Industrial. The intent behind the rezoning is to develop a “Truck terminal”. The subject property is located at 3510 River Rd. and is identified as Tax Map 110(0A)00-022-0 & 110(0A)00-022-C. The Comprehensive Plan indicates the property is planned for Industrial uses.
ORDINANCE AMENDMENT # OA-26-01: Request to amend The Code of the County of Prince George, Virginia, by amending §§ 90-1034 in order to establish that property being added to the zoning jurisdiction of the County by any means shall be classified as A-1 (General Agricultural District).
ORDINANCE AMENDMENT # OA-26-02: Request to amend The Code of the County of Prince George, Virginia, by repealing §§ 90-13.1 before a modified version of these regulations are added into a different chapter of the County Code, to be enforced by the County Administrator or their designee instead of the Zoning Administrator.
The public hearings will be held in the Board Room, third floor, County Administration Building, 6602 Courts Drive, Prince George, Virginia 23875. Materials related to the requests may be examined in the Planning Department, located in the County Administration Building between 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, or by calling 804-722-8678 or emailing planning@princegeorgecountyva.gov. All interested persons are invited to participate in the public hearings in person. A live video stream will be available at https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov/live_stream/. Public comments can be submitted prior to 4:30 p.m. on the public hearing date. Public Comment submittal forms and information on accessing this meeting electronically are available at https://www.princegeorgecountyva.gov.
