LEGAL NOTICE   Plain Local School District Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Education of the Plain Local School District, Stark County, Ohio, passed on the 22nd day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on the 5th day of May, 2026, the following: “Shall bonds be issued by the Plain Local School District for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping, renovating, rehabilitating, remodeling, adding to and otherwise improving School District buildings and facilities, acquiring, clearing, equipping and otherwise improving sites therefor, and demolishing existing buildings and facilities in the principal amount of $116,802,000, to be repaid annually over a maximum period of 37 years, and an annual levy of property taxes be made outside the ten-mill limitation, estimated by the county auditor to average over the repayment period of the bond issue 3.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $123 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027, to pay the annual debt charges on the bonds, and to pay debt charges on any notes issued in anticipation of those bonds?” The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. Canton time, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
