LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received for the purchase, lease, or lease/purchase for approximately fifty-one (51) or more school buses and multiple passenger vehicles by the Stark County Schools' Council of Governments on behalf of member School Boards of Education and all members of the Stark County Schools’ Council of Governments at the office of the STARK COUNTY SCHOOLS’ COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, 6057 Strip Ave NW, North Canton OH 44720 until 9:00 A.M. EDST, Thursday, May 28, 2026, and will be publicly opened and recorded thereafter. No bid shall be permitted to be withdrawn without the express approval of the Stark County Schools’ Council of Governments except as provided under the Ohio Revised Code and said bid shall be firm until Wednesday, September 2, 2026. Pricing may be extended by the Vendor, at the same terms & conditions, beyond firm pricing period. All bids will be sent to each participating member’s Board of Education, which will then review and accept or reject their desired bids.
Bids will be received with respect to the integrated unit and will state that the buses when assembled and prior to delivery, shall comply with all participating member school district specifications, all safety regulations and current Ohio minimum standards for school bus construction as per the Department of Education adopted by and with the consent of the director of highway safety pursuant to section 4511.76 of the Ohio Revised Code and all other pertinent provisions of law for the following school bus chassis and bodies:
• 1 or more 55 passenger conventional buses - handicap
• 10 or more 65/66 passenger conventional buses
• 1 or more 65/66 passenger conventional buses- handicap
• 15 or more 71/72 passenger conventional buses
• 2 or more 71/72 passenger transit buses
• 5 or more 77/78 passenger conventional buses
• 1 or more 77/78 passenger conventional buses - handicap
• 2 or more 8/9 passenger multi-passenger vehicles
• 1 or more 8/9 passenger multi-passenger vehicles – handicap
• 1 or more 18+1 Minotaur vehicles
Instructions to bidders and specifications for the above bus units are on file and may be obtained at the Stark County Schools’ Council of Governments, Cooperative Purchasing Office.
The Stark County Schools’ Council of Governments and participating member Boards of Education reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Each participating member Board of Education shall accept or reject and contract directly with the Vendor as per specifications as provided and selected by said member Board of Education.
