In general, the major work items include: The rehabilitation of three (3) streets and storm drain improvements along 7th Street between North Virginia Street and Valley Road, 8th Street between Evans Avenue and Valley Road, and Record Street between 6th Street and 8th Street. The project also includes installation of traffic calming speed humps and replacement of sidewalk panels at various locations throughout Reno. The rehabilitation shall include, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of pavement section, driveways, curb and gutter, sanitary sewer manholes and pipe, storm drain structures and pipe, slurry seal, electrical conduit installation, landscaping, pavement striping and signage, provisions for traffic control for the duration of the project, and other miscellaneous work as outlined in the plans and specifications. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165 setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works.
