Notice of Destruction of Records

Notice of Destruction of Records Public Notification to families of children who have received First Steps Early Intervention services and were born in 2017. First Steps is required by law to retain a child's Early Intervention file for five years after the child exits the First Steps program. The early intervention record then becomes the property of the parent or legal guardian. If you would like to retain possession of your child's record, please contact the office and arrange a time to retrieve your child's record. Records that are not claimed by April 14, 2026 will be destroyed on April 15, 2026. Proper identification is required for claim.
