NOTICE OF PUBLIC REVIEW PERIOD Notice is hereby given that the Indian River County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will receive public comments on the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan between November 3, 2025 and December 3, 2025. The 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan will be adopted at the MPO meeting and public hearing scheduled for December 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Conference Room B1-501 of the Indian River County Administration Building "B", located at 1800 27th Street, Vero Beach, Florida. The purpose of this Public Review Period will be to complete the Plan Adoption process for the MPO's 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Final Rules, Chapter 1 of Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Subchapter E – Planning PART 450 – PLANNING ASSISTANCE AND STANDARDS, Subpart C – METROPOLITAN PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING require that the public have full access to the transportation planning process. The results of the MPO's October 29, 2025 meeting identifying the plan are included in the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan Summary Report posted on the MPO's LRTP Project Website at the following internet address: http://indianriver.gov/mpo. Alternatively, the Plan can be reviewed at the MPO offices, 1801 27th St., between the hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Once adopted, the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan will serve as the guide for developing and implementing major transportation improvements within Indian River County. Improvements for all of the surface transportation modes planned in Indian River County are to be addressed and will include the future highway needs, public transportation service, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, how to best fund needed transportation improvements, and other transportation subjects. The public is encouraged to participate in the adoption of the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan.
