NOTICE OF ELECTION   STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA                                                                                                                        SPARTANBURG COUNTY   The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Spartanburg County announces the Senate District 12 Special Election to be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, to fill an unexpired term for State Senate District 12. Any person wishing to vote in the Senate District 12 Special Election must register no later than Sunday, November 23, 2025. The deadline to register to vote in-person is Friday, November 21, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Voter registration forms received by mail will be accepted if postmarked by Monday, November 24, 2025. The early voting period for the special election begins on Monday, December 8 and ends on Friday, December 19. The following early voting center will be open during the early voting period from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed Saturdays and Sundays).   Location                                                                                  Address Spartanburg County Registration & Elections Office     366 N Church St, Suite 1630,                                                                                                   Spartanburg, SC 29303   Voters will be asked to provide one of the following Photo IDs at their polling place:   • S.C. Driver's License • ID Card issued by S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles • S.C. Voter Registration Card with Photo • Federal Military ID • U.S. Passport   Voters should remember to bring one of these IDs with them to the polling place. Voters without Photo ID can get one free of charge from their county voter registration office or the Department of Motor Vehicles. At 7:00 a.m. on December 23, 2025, the County Board of Voter Registration and Elections will begin its examination of the absentee ballot return envelopes at the Spartanburg County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 366 N. At 11:00 AM on Friday, December 26, 2025, the County Board of Canvassers will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in the special election. These hearings will be held at the Spartanburg County Voter Registration and Elections Office at 366 N. Church St, Suite 1630, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The following precincts and polling places will be open during the special election from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Polling places are subject to change under certain conditions.
