NOTICE OF ELECTION   STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA                                                                                                                       COUNTY OF SPARTANBURG   The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Spartanburg County announces the Non-Partisan General Election for the Spartanburg Metropolitan Sub-District B Water and Sewer District will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 to elect one commissioner.   Filing opens at Noon, February 13, 2026 Filing closes at Noon, March 13, 2026   Filing Location: Spartanburg County Voter Registration & Elections 366 N Church St, Suite 1630 Spartanburg, SC 29303   Business Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM   Any person wishing to file as a candidate must be a Spartanburg County registered voter and a resident of the District for at least 30 days prior to the election. Candidates must file with the Spartanburg County Election Commission during regular business hours a Nonpartisan Statement of Intention of Candidacy form. This form may be obtained from the Spartanburg County Voter Registration & Elections Office or from the candidate section of the following website: www.scvotes.gov. All Candidates must refer to the SC Ethics Commission website to find information about the forms (Statement of Economic Interests, Pre-Campaign Disclosure and Post Campaign) they must electronically file to comply with SC Code of Laws as regards their candidacy and campaign. Website is www.ethics.sc.gov Any person wishing to register to vote in this election must do so no later than April 12, 2026. Voter registration by mail forms will be accepted if postmarked no later than Monday, April 13, 2026. To register, one must contact the Spartanburg County Voter Registration & Elections Office. Registered electors who cannot vote in person may be eligible to vote by absentee ballot. Voters wishing for more information concerning absentee voting should contact the Spartanburg County Voter Registration & Elections Office at (864)596-2549. This is a nonpartisan election, and no party affiliation shall be placed on the ballot. At 9:00 a.m. on May 12, 2026 the Board of Voter Registration & Elections will begin its examination of the absentee ballot return envelopes at 366 N. Church St. Spartanburg, SC 29303 in Room 1630. On Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. the Spartanburg County Board of Canvassers will conduct a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in this election. This hearing will be held at: Spartanburg County Voter Registration & Elections, 366 N.
