NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING RELATED TO THE PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET OF THE ROEBUCK FIRE DISTRICT DBA SOUTH SPARTANBURG FIRE DISTRICT (INCLUDES FORMER CROFT FIRE DISTRICT, SPARTANBURG, SC) Pursuant to Section 6-1-80 of the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, notice is hereby given that the local Board of Fire Control (the "Board"), as the governing body of the Roebuck Fire District DBA South Spartanburg Fire District, will hold a public hearing related to the proposed general operating budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year on 5, MAY, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the agenda permits). The hearing will be held in the meeting room of the Croft Fire Station, located at 370 Cedar Springs Road, Spartanburg SC 29302. The current general operating budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 and the proposed general operating budget for fiscal year 2026-2027 are as follows: Current FY 2025-2026 with millage rates Roebuck Fire District DBA South Spartanburg Fire District 36.0 mills (General Operating Budget) plus 1.46 mills (GO Bond) = 37.46 mills Budget Year (FY 2025-2026) Anticipated Revenue: $3,633,097.48 Anticipated Expenditure: $3,633,097.48 Proposed FY 2026-2027 with millage rates Roebuck Fire District DBA South Spartanburg Fire District 36.0 mills (General Operating Budget) plus 1.46 mills (GO Bond) = 37.46 mills Budget Year (FY 2026-2027) Anticipated Revenue: $4,111,020.69 Anticipated Expenditure: $4,111,020.69 Anticipated percentage of change in the operating budget between FY 2025-2026 and FY 2026-2027 is +12.34%. The aforesaid hearing shall be conducted publicly, and both proponents and opponents of the proposed actions shall be given full opportunity to be heard in person or by counsel. Following the hearing, the Board, acting by resolution, shall make a determination as to whether to approve the fiscal year 2026-2027 general operating budget of the Roebuck Fire District DBA South Spartanburg Fire District as of the effective date.
