NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Staunton City Council will conduct the following Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026. The hearings will be held in Rita S. Wilson Council Chambers located on the first floor of City Hall, 116 W Beverley Street. • Public Hearing and Consideration of a Request by Thomas Wilkinson, River Rock Properties, LLC, to Vacate, Discontinue, and Abandon that Portion of a 12-Foot Alley Lying Between Lots 9–12 of Block D and Lots 10–13 of Block B of the Rose Crest Addition (Steffey Street Area). • Public Hearing and Consideration of a Request by RCP 2, LLC, for a Special Use Permit at 126 Guy Street, Parcel Identification Number 11162, Under the Provisions of Staunton City Code 18.30.030(6) to Allow a Planned Residential Development Consisting of Four Single-Family Attached Dwellings and a Common Parking Area. The City of Staunton, Virginia, Comprehensive Plan 2018-2040, Land Use Development Guide, Future Land Use Map, Designates This Area as High Density Residential With a Suggested Density of Over 20 Units Per Acre. The City of Staunton Planning Commission conducted public hearings on the alley vacation requests at its December 18, 2025 meeting and conducted a public hearing on the special use permit at 126 Guy Street at its November 20, 2025 meeting. The Planning Commission has recommended approval of both requests. You are invited to attend the meeting and share your views with Council.
