PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Zoning Hearing Board of Coolbaugh Township will conduct three public hearings on Thursday April 23, 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Coolbaugh Township Municipal building located at 5520 Municipal Drive, Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, Pennsylvania, 18466. The purpose of the first hearing is to consider a request for a variance from the dimensional standards of Section 400, Attachment 2 of the Zoning Code regarding an existing residential garage structure which is encroaching into the rear yard setback area The application was submitted by Scott Yorty, the owner of the subject property. The address of the property is 101 Safro Court, Arrowhead Lakes, Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, Tax Map ID No. 03.19C.1.192, Tax Map No. 0363070925202. The property is located in the R-3 Zoning District.
The second hearing concerns the decision of the Court regarding an appeal entitled Coolbaugh Township v. The Zoning Hearing Board of Coolbaugh Township to remand the matter for additional testimony regarding a dimensional variance approved with conditions by the Board. The address of the subject property is 1555 Black Birch Way, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania with tax parcel ID No.
03.9E.1.100, Tax Map #\No. 03635808996989. The owner of the property is Aleksey Podshko.
The purpose of the third hearing is to consider a request for a variance from the dimensional standards of Section 400, Attachment 2 of the Zoning Code regarding building setbacks for a proposed residential structure on two lots which have been joined together by a recorded joinder deed. The subject property is identified as Lots 79-86 of Section F of Pocono Summit Lake, Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, tax parcel ID No. 03.5.1.55-3, Tax map No. 03635501265357. The property is owned by Classic Quality Homes, and is located in a R-3 Zoning District.
