PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Zoning Hearing Board of Stroud Township will conduct a Public Hearing at the Stroud Township Municipal Building, 1211 North Fifth Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, July 1st , 2026 at 6:30 pm to consider the following:
ZHB #24-04 Applicant Mitch Brown/Early Learning Academy of East Stroudsburg, PO Box 239, Portland, PA 18351. Applicant seeks a special exception hearing and use approval to convert an existing retail structure to an educational childcare center, described in the Zoning Ordinance as child daycare (SIC 835) 27+ children. This hearing is continued at Applicant’s request from June 3rd, 2026. Applicant filed an amended application on June 10, 2026 also seeking an approximate 10’dimensional variance to the minimum 50’ front yard setback for child daycare structures per Zoning Ordinance §27-503.8.O. The property is located at 1125 N. 9th Street, Stroud Township, Tax Map No. 17.12.670-1-2C. The property is located in the C-2 zoning district. The property owner is Tobey Development Partners LLC, 15 Center Drive, Roslyn, NY 11576.
ZHB #26-07 Applicant Reilly Associates on behalf of Stroud Township Board of Supervisors 1211 N.5th Street Stroudsburg PA 18360. Applicant seeks a dimensional variance to the 40 feet minimum front yard setback requirement Required by zoning ordinance schedule 27-I I in the R-1 zone. Applicant also seeks a variance to construct and unattached accessory structure in front of the principal structure as set forth at ordinance section 27-508.1 point b ( 2 ). Applicant proposes to construct a golf cart storage barn within 15 feet of the front yard of Hickory valley Rd. The property in question is the Glenbrook golf course, Stroud Township tax parcel #17.11 dot 5.14.
