OFFICIAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Public Works of the City of Wausau that it will receive sealed bids for the following project:
2026 DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT
Excavation Common 2,080 c.y. HMA Pavement 600 ton
Concrete Curb and Gutter 1,950 l.f. 8" – 18" PVC Sanitary Sewer 1,625 l.f.
Concrete Pavement 2,550 sy. Concrete Sidewalk 7,500 s.f.
Storm Sewer 12" – 42" 1,700 l.f. 4" – 8" D.I. Watermain 700 l.f.
Contract documents for this project may be viewed online or downloaded at www.questcdn.com. The QuestCDN eBidDoc Number for this project is 10051795. There is a non-refundable fee of $42.00 for each set of Contract Documents.
For this project bids will only be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button at the top of the bid advertisement. (The on-line bid button will be available when the project is published and ready for bid submitting.) Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m. on March 3, 2026.
A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if the bid is accepted, will execute and file the proposed contract and bonds within ten days after the awarding of the contract.
Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through QuestCDN prior to the pre-qualification deadline to be considered for prequalification. Pre-qualification documents shall be submitted to the Engineering Department no later than 2:00 p.m. on February 23, 2026, and show sufficient financial ability, equipment, and experience to properly perform the contract in accordance with Section 66.0901, Wisconsin Statutes. The Board's decision as to qualifications shall be final. The pre-qualification form is available on-line at wausauwi.gov.
The City of Wausau reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interest of the City of Wausau.
A Performance Bond and also a Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid price, together with an executed contract in form prescribed by the City of Wausau will be required of the successful bidder.
The letting of the work described herein is subject to provisions of Chapter 62 and 66 of Wisconsin Statutes and by all pertinent sections of the Wausau Municipal Code.
