NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On June 9, 2026, Clark Builder, LLC proposed proposing a new 316 lot waterfront residential development with an excavated access channel & upland basin impacting coastal & section 404 wetlands. This residential development will include four (4) community floating docks & 74 community slips w/ 115 additional deeded future slips, a boat ramp, bulkheads, groins, infrastructure and amenities located on multiple Parcels adj. to Duck Pond Rd. & the AIWW, in Ocean Isle Beach, Brunswick County. Copies of these applications can be examined or copied at the office of Tara MacPherson N.C. Dept. of Environmental Quality, Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington, NC 28405, (910) 796-7266 during normal business hours. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to July 5, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
