Christopher Bettencourt has applied for a Certificate of Appropriateness & Building Demolition Delay Waiver relative to MGL Chapter 40, Section C, and the City of Worcester Historic Building Demolition Ordinance (Ch. 9, § 13, Revised Ordinances), for property situated at 258 Pleasant Street (COA-25-32). The property, constructed before 1860, is listed in MACRIS, in the State Register of Historic Places, is located in the Crown Hill Local Historic District, and was known historically as the CH Stearns Steam Bakery. The petitioner seeks approval for the following work:
• Replace doors
• Replace siding
• Install awnings
• Install flags/signage
• Install light fixtures
A public hearing on the application will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the Levi Lincoln Chamber, 3rd floor of City Hall, 455 Main Street, Worcester, MA.
