TOWN OF SPENCER INVITATION FOR BID ROAD MATERIALS   The Town of Spencer through it’s Department of Utilities and Facilities Superintendent invites bids for the provision of ROAD MATERIALS for the period ending June 30, 2028. Materials included in this invitation to bid include washed sand, washed round stone size 1 ½", gravel borrow type C, bank gravel, 3” gravel, processed gravel, brown crusher run, and 6” minus trap rock.   Invitation for Bidders (IFB) Packages will be available on June 8, 2026, on the Town of Spencer Website spencerma.gov (Click on Bids & RFPs). Obtaining the bid documents online is strongly encouraged. All bids must be received on or before 10:00 a.m., local time, Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Office of Utilities and Facilities, 3 Old Meadow Rd, Spencer, MA 01562 at which time all bids received will be opened and read publicly. All bids submitted must be in sealed envelopes clearly marked "Road Materials". Bid documents are available at the address listed above from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.   Unless otherwise stated, all materials shall conform to the Massachusetts Department of Public Works Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges or those of the Town of Spencer.   Vendors are to submit bids on forms supplied by the Town and priced either F.O.B. source, or delivered and stockpiled in Spencer as the case may be.   The Town of Spencer reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities as it is deemed in the public interest of the Town to do so.
