CITY OF WORCESTER PROPOSED ORDINANCE The City Council of the City of Worcester at a meeting held in City Hall on December 9, 2025 voted to advertise the following on a roll call vote of Ten Yeas and No Nays: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42 AND 46 OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF 2008 TO MODIFY ON-STREET PARKING ON PORTIONS OF MAIN STREET AND FRANKLIN STREET ADJACENT TO WORCESTER CITY HALL Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Worcester as follows: PART I Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by deleting in Schedule I the provision for: Main Street, East side, from a point 40' north of Front Street to a point 60' south of Franklin Street, "No Parking Anytime" the inserting thereof the following new provisions: Main Street, East side, from a point 40' north of Front Street to a point 100' south of Front Street, "No Parking Anytime" Main Street, East side, from a point 100' south of Front Street to Franklin Street, "30-minute parking, 8am to 5pm Mon-Friday; No Parking Anytime 2am to 6am" PART II Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by inserting in Schedule I, thereof, after the provision for: Franklin Street, North side, from Peabody Street to Easterly dead end, "No Parking Anytime" the following new provisions: Franklin Street, North side, from Main Street to a point 92' east of Main Street, "No Parking Anytime" Franklin Street, North side, from a point 92' east of Main Street to a point 140' east of Main Street, "No Parking Reserved for HP or Placard Vehicle" PART III Section 46 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by inserting in the Commercial Loading Zones Schedule, thereof, after the provision for: Foster Street, South side, from Norwich Street to a point 20' east of Norwich Street, "8am-6pm" the following new provision: Franklin Street, North side, from a point 140' east of Main Street to a point 180' south of Seymour Street, "7am-4pm" A Copy.
