CITY OF WORCESTER PROPOSED ORDINANCE The City Council of the City of Worcester at a meeting held in City Hall on December 9, 2025 voted to advertise the following on a roll call vote of Ten Yeas and No Nays: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42 AND 46 OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF 2008 TO MODIFY 15-MINUTE PARKING, 30-MINUTE METERED PARKING, TWO HOUR METERED PARKING AND COMMERCIAL LOAD ZONES ON PORTIONS OF WATER STREET Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Worcester as follows: PART I Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by deleting under Zone BC in Schedule VI the provision for: Water Street, West side, from a point 39' south of Harrison Street to Kelley Square, "Two Hour 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.", Zone BC the inserting the following two new provisions under Zone BC and Zone BA, respectively, in place thereof: Water Street, West side, from a point 39' south of Harrison Street to a point 92' north of Kelley Square, "Two Hour 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.", Zone BC Water Street, west side, from Kelley Square to a point 92' north of Kelley Square, "30 minutes 11am-9pm", Zone BA PART II Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by deleting under Zone BC in Schedule VI the provision for: Water Street, West side, from a point 140' south of Winter Street to a point 315' south of Winter Street, "Two Hour 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.", Zone BC the inserting the following new provision under Zone BC in place thereof: Water Street, West side, from a point 55' south of Winter Street to a point 315' south of Winter Street, "Two Hour 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.", Zone BC PART III Section 46 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by inserting in the Commercial Loading Zones Schedule, thereof, after the provision for: Water Street, East side, from a point 240' south of Pond Street to a point 280' south of Pond Street, "8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday" the following new provision: Water Street, west side, from Kelley Square to a point 92' north of Kelley Square, "6 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday through Sunday" PART IV Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 2008 be and is hereby amended by rescinding in Schedule I, thereof, the provision for: Water Street, East side, from a point 60' south of Fox Street to Kelley Square And inserting the following two new provisions in place thereof: Water Street, East side, from Fox Street to a point 95' south of Fox Street, "15 minutes, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m." Water Street, East side, from a point 95' south of Fox Street to Kelley Square, "No Parking Anytime" A Copy.
