TOWN OF HOLDEN - INVITATION TO BID
The Town of Holden will receive sealed bids for the following until March 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Department of Public Works (DPW) Facility, located at 18 Industrial Drive, Holden, MA 01520:
Exterior Restoration of Holden Town Hall (DPW-CP26-01)
This project work consists of an exterior restoration of an existing Town Hall building that is registered with the Local Historic District.
General Project Information: The project consists of the demolition of the existing concrete ramp, stair and guard & handrail system, exterior siding and trim repair and preparation for new painting. Construction of a new concrete ramp and stair and the installation of new guard and handrail system. The painting of the entire exterior façade, with alternates for HVAC and granite step repair.
**** A Pre-Bid Site Visit will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Holden Town Hall, 1196 Main Street Holden, Massachusetts 01520 at the Main Entrance Exterior.
While not mandatory, attendance is strongly encouraged.
Sealed filed sub-bids for Section 09 0007 Painting, Section 23 0000 HVAC and
Section 26 0000 Electrical must be received no later than Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 am. Filed Sub-Bidders must be DCAMM Certified in their respective Trade.
General Bid submissions will be opened publicly at 11:00AM on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Department of Public Works (DPW) Facility, located at 18 Industrial Drive, Holden, MA 01520

This project is being procured under the provisions of M.G.L. c.149
The specifications may be obtained from the Town of Holden's electronic bid system, found at https://www.holdenma.gov/bids. Register using the form found at the link for this project, as this will ensure you automatically receive any associated addendums. Once completed, you will then be able to view the Bid results.
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Exterior Restoration of the Holden Town Hall (DPW-CP26-01)".
All Bids shall be submitted accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Town of Holden or a bid bond for 5% of total price proposal as bid security. One hundred-percent (100%) Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds are required upon entering a contract with the Town, if the price proposal is greater than $150,000. The Bidder must be DCAMM Certified in General Building Construction.
The Town Manager reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive informalities in the bidding procedures, or to accept the proposal deemed in the best interest of the Town of Holden.
