330 9th Avenue South Building Demolition
INVITATION FOR BIDS
The City of Wisconsin Rapids will accept electronic bids through the online website Quest vBID for the demolition and removal of all building, structures and fixtures of 330 9th Avenue South until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026. The electronic bids will be publicly opened on Quest vBID and read aloud at that time at the office of the Community Development Department, City Hall, 444 West Grand Avenue, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495. No paper bids will be accepted.
The project includes the following work:
Complete demolition and removal of the approximately 14,734 square foot former steel castings foundry located at 330 9th Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin 54495. The building had a fire in 2017 and was partially demolished but consists of multiple remaining connected sections of both steel and wood. In addition, the project includes the removal of drums and containers left from the manufacturing operation which have been inventoried. Hazardous chemical and building material surveys shall be conducted as part of the project, along with necessary abatement activities. The bid shall be only for above grade demolition activities.

Bidder's Proof of Responsibility must be included in the electronic bid proposal. Each electronic bid shall be accompanied by a bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Wisconsin Rapids.
The City of Wisconsin Rapids reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities, and to make awards in such manner as may be deemed proper and in the best interest of the City.
Removal of Bid Items - The City reserves the right to remove any bid item from the contract when it determines the price is overly excessive and not realistic to work to be performed.
