NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ADOPT ORDINANCE NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of East Manchester Township at their regularly scheduled public meeting on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Office at 5080 North Sherman Street, Mt. Wolf 17347 intends to consider for adoption “AN ORDINANCE OF EAST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING ARTICLE II [TRAFFIC REGULATIONS] OF CHAPTER 231 [VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC] OF THE CODE OF EAST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP.” Section 1 of the Ordinance establishes the intersections of Canal Road Extended at Manchester Street, and Manchester Street at Canal Road Extended as stop intersections; Section 2 authorizes the placement of stop signs at the two intersections and the removal of the existing “Right Turn Keep Moving” from Canal Road Extended; Section 3 provides a repealer; Section 4 adds severability provisions; Section 5 makes the ordinance effective immediately after its approval as provided by law and the restrictions effective upon the placement of the new signage.
